How Does an Air Flosser Work?

Posted on 3/17/2018 by Sandra Embree
Air Flosser Embree Dentistry MI 48104Do you hate using traditional dental floss to floss your teeth?

If the answer is yes, then an air flosser might be good for you. We all know that using regular dental floss is sometimes messy and can be quite painful to use.

Dental floss can also make your gums bleed, and when you're trying to reach the back of your molars it can be really hard and make your jaws hurt. In this article we are going to be discussing what an air flosser is and how does it work.

What is an Air Flosser and How Does It Work

An air flosser was created to be quicker and more effective than using the traditional dental floss. It actually reduces pain in your mouth and it's so much easier to get to your back teeth. It also decreases the chance of your gums bleeding. An air flosser is a new hand held, battery operated device that removes the plaque that is lurking between your teeth.

How it works is that it shoots a rapid burst of air and tiny water droplets that will remove the plaque and bacteria that is between your teeth. Having good oral hygiene is the overall goal and having the air flosser is just as good as regular dental floss.

It was made to be quick, easy, and painless. Also, since it is battery powered, you can take it anywhere you go. If you think that the air flosser will be right for you then go out and try it out, you can buy it online.
